There are a lot of women who write on their own blogs and do well. You start asking these women or other successful women to get on a video or a podcast and you hear crickets. What the heck ladies, seriously? Now don’t get me wrong, there are a ton of ladies who podcast out there but so many of these ladies do not think they have anything to contribute or they get tongue tied when they are being recorded. There should be more podcasts for women because women have a lot of valuable things to share.
Women are not as confident as men. Okay, I said it and I mean it. Podcasting historically started out as a playground of men. And you know why? Men think they should be heard and heard and heard. They talk louder and more confident than most women. There are a few women in the podcasting space but on a whole their aren’t as many podcasts for women because there are as many women podcasting.
Women think they have to be perfect and we do get tongue tied sometimes because we are thinking in our brains 500 miles a minute. Sometimes we know what we want to say but we get tongue tied because we have so much valuable things to say but can’t say all the information fast enough. There should be more podcasts for women because our brains are working 5 times as effective and runs wild with thoughts, ideas, and good information.
Why we don’t just let those ideas flow is beyond me. I know a lot of really smart women who have these phenomenal stories but they don’t share them. They don’t put a huge value on their experiences. We need to support each other and value the paths we have taken in our careers, our family, and our lives. The podcasts for women out there need to focus on all aspects of women’s lives.
Stop being tongue tied and share your life. There are many topics I do not know the first clue about, for example skin care. I don’t know jack squat about skin care. I know I need good products and there are some products out there that are better than most. However, I need an expert on the show to talk with the audience about skin care. We are going to have a podcast for women to learn about good skin care because I have that expert ready to share her knowledge.
Are you an expert about a topic you really care about? Podcasts for women should share topics that women care about. These topics can include family, being a mother, career, or anything you think women care about. If you have something to say, we want to talk with you. Cover the Topic podcast wants to bring their listeners topics women care about. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you want to talk about.
